As per the consensus formed at the annual conference of the Space Frontier Foundation in California, many experts believe that, by the year 2014, the prices of suborbital space fights for interested customer could reduce to a more agreeable figure of $50,000 and $100,000, thereby making space flights, a realty for millions of aspirants and enthusiasts.
As per the estimate, the space flight market will witness an exponential increase in flights in the year 2014, where in the companies will be handling thousands of suborbital space flights every year, that could tantamount to an approximate of 1,000 to 100,000 flights annually. Also, as per the report, with emergence of suborbital space crafts and big hitter space tourism companies, such as the likes of Virgin Galactic, it would only increase the competition in the market, thus leading to less expensive seating option. By the year 2014, it has been estimated that, not only the suborbital travel will be available for most of the people, but the emergence and success of this vertical could also lead to worldwide, global, high-speed, point-to-point transportation.
