Scarborough is a resort town in England that is famous for its idyllic settings and a beautiful English landscape. To stay there has been the dream of many English people and they realize this dream quite often. If you have ever visited Scarborough, you would certainly know about the Londesborough Lodge, which has historical importance.
It is now revealed that the famous lodge has been sold for a whopping amount of more than £600,000. Londesborough Lodge was built in the 1830s, and the new owners would sign a 999 year contract. It even comes with 4 private houses on the south of side of Crescent Gardens. It is documented that the Prince of Wales stayed there in 1869, 1870 and 1871 but on the last time that he visited, he contracted typhoid because of the Lodge’s water supply and nearly died.
The property is located next to Scarborough Art Gallery and could be a great way to cash in on the ever increasing tourist influx. The historical lodge could be of great importance to those who value English culture, tradition and history.
