We all evolve as a person as we face changes and challenges in life. The former editor-in-chief of House & Garden, Dominique Browning has reinvented herself as a connoisseur of the simple life. She has come out with a new book Slow Love that tells the story of her life after she lost her job and learned to appreciate life at a more leisurely pace. The book is aimed at readers who are looking for more out of life.
Browning has decided to go on her own travel odyssey to India. She has teamed up with the philanthropic travel company Elevate Destinations to fulfill one of her own secret travel dreams. She has written about it on the travel company’s site that one must not defer one’s dream for too long. And that’s why she has finally decided to take the trip to India. The 14 day trip is scheduled for February next year.
The itinerary includes places like Delhi, Jaipur, Nimaj, Rohet, Shahpura and Udaipur. The trip is not about seeing new places only but visiting local artists and craftsmen and learning about rain water harvesting and Durry Rug weaving. The trip costs $8,500 per person but Elevate Destinations is supporting through this trip a philanthropic organization called Rug Mark.
