The Dolce & Gabbana Animalier 2011 Eyewear Collection has been launched and being promoted for the Spring/Summer 2011 season. A major advertising campaign is being prepared for the marketing effort. An ad film was shot late last year featuring Naomi Campbell. The shoot had a balmy Mediterranean backdrop that enhances the colorful collection. Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott are the photographers who have shot the campaign.
Glamour, color and elegance are the three highlights of the new Animalier eyewear collection. Over the years, Dolce & Gabbana has established the Animaler eyewear collection as their sub brand. It has its own strong identity under the D&G umbrella. The Animalier print sets the tone for the new Spring/Summer 2011 sunglass and optical collections. The three models in the sunglasses collection covers the range from a more masculine, aviator style to Sixties-inspired and rounded silhouettes.
The range of colors used for the frames includes poppy red, slate blue, purple orchid, yellow ochre and sapphire. The tints of the lens have also been blended perfectly with the color of the frames. The acetate frames combine a playful contrast of colors and patterns. The D&G logo has been embedded in the temple of the frames. The inside of the temple end has been decorated with a gold plaque. Above all, it is an eye catching eyewear collection.
