Deepak S Chhabra, a Sartorialist at heart is a man of accessories, of different combinations, of drapes. A self-made Designer and Stylist by choice and entrepreneur at heart, Deepak is full of gratitude having delivered 100,000 wedding ensembles and styled 11000 + grooms since 2000. Fashion to Deepak is a means to tell stories. In the current pandemic crisis, the brand’s learning is that a more sustainable-minded and quality driven fashion is possible.
Style of Dressing
Deepak’s style of dressing is a properly ironed shirt with pleated trousers accessorized well with decent belt, socks matching the lapel of shirt or the shirt itself plus a nice pair of cufflinks. Not to miss on well-groomed beard. “Your first look tells half your story, so don’t compromise there,:” reveals Deepak.
Luxury Couture Collection For Grooms
Deepak S Chhabra Couture Unveiled a huge range during Pandemic across Sherwanis, Tux, Bandgala, Indo Western and other wedding apt ensembles.
“We knew marriages would happen. They surely gonna be a private affair of 50 members across family and friends. What came as a surprise was our grooms’ excitement. They released “i-am-gonna-get-married” vibes, each one and hence no compromise on wedding attire,” shared Deepak.
The brand named their Sherwanis, the key groom’s outfit in Northern India as “TABEER,” which means interpretation of Dreams.
“PENGUIN SUITS,” are aptly named after Ocean’s Most Dressed Bird. The black and white look of the tux does justice to the name.
“JODHANA,” represents the royalty of Jodhpur. Their gorgeous collection of Bandgala is a must for every groom to adorn during one of the pre wed festivities.
“KIRDAAR” represents the identity, the character and the core personality of our grooms.
And Deepak surely wanted to offer something for the day functions. Labelled “SUBAH,” the Long Jackets ensemble is sort of a fusion wear that brings elegance to our grooms.
All Gratitude for His Work
Deepak was humble sharing his grooms usually invite him to their weddings but equally crestfallen to share that busy wedding season doesn’t allow him to be physically present at each grooms wedding day. One episode, which he smilingly recalled was from a groom’s wedding where he designed 40 outfits for all the men in the family. All same vibe. Deepak was invited by groom’s father to get clicked and capture this memory with all men in black (wearing my ensemble). That moment was full of gratitude for him.
You get back what you give, with an interest. The episode in particular held true to this belief, adds Deepak.
Favorite Fashion Accessory
SHOES! Colorful shoes. From a shoe collector to a shoemaker today, Deepak has a closet dedicated only to shoes displaying around 70 favorite pair of shoes that he does wear. Call him a sneaker head or shoe addict; good shoes give him a different high.
He often plays well with accessories like Wristwatch, pocket squares, a unique pair of cufflinks with appropriate contrast of Scarfs, Gallace, belt, and Cravat.
I feel the accessories help men age gracefully, winks Deepak.
Success Story
Success to Stylist Deepak resides in delivering exclusivity in his ensembles. In his success journey past 20 years, the brand had the opportunity to design outfits for grooms across the US, UK, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Singapore, Dubai, Kashmir to name a few.
Success to Deepak means: “Taking a road less traveled to view the most beautiful destination than following a path most traveled to touch the most popular place.”
