Under Construction Mansion in Florida Becomes the Most Expensive Listing at $139 Million

Le Palais Royal is a truly royal mansion being built in Hillsboro Beach, Fla. It was listed on the Multiple Listing Service last week for an asking price of $139 million. The whopping price tag makes it the most expensive home publicly listed for sale in the United States. Denio Madera, the Miami-based architect and interior designer who is handling the interior design of the home pointed out that the design and layout of the mansion has been inspired by the Palace of Versailles. It boasts of gold leafing, stone walkways, balconies and six fountains. With a total of 60,500 square feet of living space you would find it difficult to find a property of similar size and scale.

The Waterfront Estate
Every feature of the Palais Royal is grand. The centerpiece of the home is a sweeping, $2-million staircase cased in steel-iron and gold leaf. The other highlights are an Imax home theater with a 50-foot-wide screen, a 1,300-gallon aquarium and a subterranean garage with parking for 30 vehicles. The 11 bedroom mansion has three master suites and a presidential suite, all with their own Jacuzzis. The presidential suite boasts of a private outdoor terrace with a plunge pool. The home features an infinity edge pool which is set beneath a 12 foot cascading waterfall. Making the setup even grander is an LED-lit water slide, fire pit and swim-up bar.

$2 Million Staircase

It doesn’t end there as a glass-bottomed Jacuzzi is suspended above the waterfall to make the user feel as if they are floating over the pool. There is a courtyard designed for entertaining guests, featuring a summer kitchen, a pizza oven, an outdoor lounge and an entrance to an indoor spa and massage rooms. The estate is spread over a plot measuring 4.4 acres that boasts of 465 feet of waterfront on the Atlantic Ocean and 492 feet of waterfront on the Intracoastal Waterway. Another exclusive feature of the mansion is a 492-foot dock capable of accommodating seafaring vessels up to 185 feet in length. Le palai Royal is expected to be ready for occupation in 2015. William P.D. Pierce of Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate may be contacted for more details as they are hadling the high profile listing.
