And we though all sorts of diamond watches had already been made. Well, almost! Brand Century has come up with a very unique way to do the unexpected. It has come up with a very graceful use of synthetic sapphire crystals that it is known for. Close to 341 diamonds along with nine of these large and clear sapphire crystals have been cast in 18 carat white gold to create the spectacular Century Grace Watch.
As far as the dial goes, it too bears the gentle kiss of the sapphire crystals. This has been cut and polished in hand to complement the 164 baguette cut diamonds on the case. There are dauphine watch hands to mirror the dial.
One look inside the mechanism, and you can easily spot the quartz movement which works quite well for the art deco angularity of the watch. The bracelet strap has been made in 18 carat white gold and sports eight more Century sapphire crystals. We do realise that Century is quite a big name in the Asian markets (Japan and India to be specific). It’s just a matter of time that it will become popular in the west too. Let’s wait and watch.
