This year, the Swiss watch manufacturer has designed a new addition to its Maxi Marine Diver collection. Named the Black Sea, this new luxury watch is not an astoundingly fresh look. But if you like large sporty watches in basic colors and masculine designs, this Ulysse Nardin Marine Diver watch is just the thing.
The first thing that you will notice about this watch is the large dial (probably a 43mm one). Black forms the base of this Ulysse Nardin Marine Diver watch. Bright red markings add color to this luxury timepiece. The broad hands are funky and smart with black, red and grey tones. The steel casing is coated in vulcanized rubber. If you love chronograph automatic watches that are subdued, yet fun, this matte timepiece with a smooth feel should be right up your alley. The textured rubber strap adds to the appeal of this Ulysse Nardin piece.
Powered by a Swiss automatic movement, these Ulysse Nardin watches display the time, date and boast of a separate seconds dial. A subsidiary dial on the main one displays the power reserve.
In terms of design, the Black Sea Ulysse Nardin Maxi Marine Diver Watch is similar to the limited edition Monaco 2010 Marine Diver watch that was released last year to mark the Monaco yacht show. Don’t compare it to more classic timepieces for men, watches like the Black Surf. The Black Sea is a more contemporary piece, and it retails at a cool $12,900.
