Dutch cycle manufacturer Koga Miyata claims that its $1million bike will enable cyclist Theo Bos earn a gold medal at the Beijing Olympics after he barely failed to spot out in Athens around four years ago. Company’s MD Wouter Jager realized the need and scope for improvement and hence ended up developing this exclusive frame. Come August and all the Olympics enthusiast of Netherlands are sure that Bos, silver medalist in the sprint in Athens would bring gold to Netherland. Respecting the hopes of the people, Koga invested 3.5 years manufacturing this innovative frame and dealt with experts in the aerodynamics and carbon technology sectors counting all those who had worked on the Ariane-5 space rocket and the Joint Strike Fighter project. Koga is known for assembling bikes by hand and selling them for around $2,023.
This elite bike with aerodynamic look was earlier budget at $100,000 but soon the cost rose to $1 million as it weathered diverse materials, made abundant moulds and conducted numerous tryouts.
