Baselworld 2010: Cobra Collection of Watches Come in Blue, Yellow and Red

Exclusive Spanish watchmaker Franc Vila has now come up with a really exclusive watch that shall blow your mind away. Baselworld 2010 has been one helluva event for all the watch lovers and more so for the Horological lovers who pay more attention to the mechanical aspect of the watch than the electrical devices that might be used.

The Cobra collection was first unveiled last year and now there are several new ones and the one that caught my fancy is the Big Date Automatic. There are yellow, blue and red accents this year and Cobra “Yellow”, Cobra “Blue Bandido” (exclusive to the U.S.), and Cobra “Red Bandido” look really simple but striking. My favourite has to be the blue one!

The case of these watches are made of what is being touted as the “DieHard Extreme Steel” and carbon-fiber, with titanium accents. It can resist water up to a distance of 300 meters, which makes it a really powerful watch for divers. Thanks to the automatic mechanical hand finished Caliber FV8Ch with Franc Vila’s unique “Gold Concept Rotor”, even the movement is rather efficient. It shall come with black rubber and steel straps. It shall cost about $20,000.
