Audemars Piguet Marks Mexico’s Independence Day With A Stylish Theme Watch

Audemars Piguet is all set to mark Mexico’s 200 years of independence by releasing a new watch called Audemars Royal Oak Offshore Piguet Pride of Mexico Watch. Now, we do not know what they were thinking when choosing the name but what we do know is that the watch makes used of the Royal Oak Offshore case and style giving various hints of the country it is dedicated too. There is a white dial, green hour markers and a red hand to mimic the colors of the Mexican flag.

The case is 42mm wide, crafted from 18 carat rose gold. There are 100 of these available. The case also comes in the titanium option, of which only 200 units have been produced. Flip the watch and you will spot an image of the Angel of Independence that is located in Mexico city. This monument hold a special place in the hearts of the Mexicans as it reminds them of their glorious history.

The innards of the timepiece support Audemars Piguet Calibre 2326/2804 automatic chronograph movement. It promises a 38 hour power reserve with a Cotes de Geneve finshing on the back. The watch strap is hornback crocodile leather.
