Android seems to replace Gold and Crystals in Luxury Smartphones

Luxury phones these days are not pursuing gold or Swarovski crystals these days for they have shifted focus to design and functionality. This is epitomized in the release of the latest Liquid E Ferrari Special Edition Acer Smartphone and Giorgio Armani Version of Samsung Galaxy S smartphone.

The folks at Italian Sports Car Company, Ferrari, announced Liquid E Ferrari Special Edition as a part of their launch of Ferrari World Theme park in Abu Dhabi. Acer boasts of this phone to be the world’s most exclusive and only 200,000 of these would be released worldwide. Apart from the pre-loaded content, the phone has an impressive list of features. It runs Andriod 2.1 “Éclair” and there is no definitive wording on the price yet. One of the hallmark things to see is the Ferrari Scuderia logo emblazoned on the device and Ferrari stamped Bluetooth headset.

Another luxury Android phone has been doled out by Samsung in partnership with Giorgio Armani. The Galaxy S Smartphone is a strong contender in the luxury market which is well versed with technology. This one is expected to hit the retail shelves in Europe, Dubai and China for about 700 Euros.
