An Airplane Of A Classroom For Primary School Kids

Kids at Kingsland Primary School are flying high. They have every reason to do so. Well, the educational authorities have decided to use an 82-ft long commercial airliner as a classroom for the primary school students. The Short 360 was delivered on the back of a lorry to the school premises amidst a lot of cheer.

Apparently, the leftover aircraft will be utilized for geography lesson to add a bit of excitement to the teaching methods. Again the history behind the flying routine will further add to the school experience. Also, it was quite a bargain costing 20,000 pounds, which is almost half the price of a mobile classroom.

The aircraft classroom is the result of a partnership between the school and the government learning program called Creative Partnerships. Rachel Billington of Creative Partnerships says that this is just an attempt to make school a more creative place. We hear the original idea came from a little kid and they thought of making it come true. Wow, we wish this happened some 20 years ago.
