Amazon Buys JK Rowling’s The Tales of Beedle the Bard for £2mn

News is long awaited auction of JK Rowling’s handwritten tales is being materialized. Amazon lately inked a deal with by signing up J.K. Rowling’s ‘The Tales of Beedle the Bard’ to its name during an auction at Sotheby’s in London. Amazon dropped £2mn for this book of five wizard fairy tales, hinted in last book of the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. These much-talked out five stories include “The Wizard and the Hopping Pot,” “The Fountain of Fair Fortune,” “The Warlock’s Hairy Heart,” “Babbitty Rabbitty and her Cackling Stump,” and “The Tale of the Three Brothers.”

It takes pride in being the one of the seven handmade copies produced ever. The actual sales generation amounting to £1,950,000 would be donated to the Children’s Voice campaign, a charity co-founded by Ms. Rowling to develop the lives of kids across Europe. The book is a compilation of 157 pages and comes clad in brown Moroccan leather embroidered with five hand-chased hallmarked sterling silver knick-knacks and carved moonstones.
