The Royal Wedding has given London a pleasant diversion from the single minded focused preparation for the Olympic Games next year. The hotels have been positioning themselves and devising experiences that matche the joyous occasion. Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park has created a grand package and call it the Royal Wedding Tour that offers guests special access that is generally not available to people at large.
The package will include hosted yours by family members and associates of the Royal family that is not routinely done. The tour will include visits to Kensington Palace, Chartwell, Spencer House, Althorp and Westminster Abbey. These venues don’t have public access normally. The guests check in to the hotel on April 26 and retire to their deluxe room after drinks and dinner. On April 27 the guests visit Sir Winston Churchill’s family home in Kent. In the evening they visit the Spencer House, have drinks on the terrace and dinner in The Great Room.
The Royal Wedding Tour package will cost $18,120 for one person. The price for a couple is $30,146 if they share the same accommodation. The duration of the tour is between April 26 and May1. On April 30 the Tour will take the guests to Westminster Abbey, the venue of the Royal Wedding. On April 29 the guests will visit the Institute of Contemporary Art and can go to the roof terrace for an unrestricted view of the Royal Wedding Parade.
