A push on the Crestron remote transforms your bedroom into a home theater!

Its a bedroom. Blink your eye, its a theater! Well its both. All that is needed is a push on that Crestron remote. This remote can transform the 400-square-foot space into a proper theater, complete with a 5.1 surround-sound system and a 40-inch Samsung LED TV that emerges from the footboard of a custom-crafted king-size bed.

All you have to do is select a video source on the Crestron remote. The owners can choose from an Apple TV box, Kaleidescape media server, live or recorded shows from a high-def DirecTV receiver, and a docked iPod. The T.V is connected to the Internet as well, which means that you can access videos from the web as well!

The speakers from SpeakerCraft placed on the ceiling and custom Leon speakers flanking the TV provide amazing sound. A Velodyne subwoofer behind the bedside nightstand adds to the rooms A/V arrangement. One can also modify the lighting by the Lutron lighting system.

To make sure that the rest of the house isn’t neglected, there are special programmes fed into the Crestron system by Integrated Home Systems. For example, when the doorbell rings, a real-time image from the surveillance camera by the front gate comes on the TV screen. Via the intercom on the bedroom telephone, the owners will be able to talk to the guests at the gate and unlock the door as well from its dial-pad or from the Crestron remote. Comfort at its best I’d say!
