2011 Frankfurt Auto Show: Porsche Unveils The All New 2012 Porsche Carrera S

Whether it be the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show or any other auto expo for that matter, any such event isn’t complete, unless one of the most respected and cherished luxury auto brands, Porsche, makes an appearance. The same has taken place at the ongoing IAA 2011, where Porsche has now taken the spotlight from nearly all booth with the unveiling of the all new ravishing 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera S sports car. After introducing the all-new 2012 Porsche 911, the German automobile behemoth has now come out with the faster and trendier Porsche Carrera S that features the widely recognized Porsche engineering along with gorgeous looks and bespoke luxury interiors. Porsche has designed and developed the 2012 Porsche Carrera S to be a lightweight vehicle, thanks to a primarily aluminum-steel composite construction, while this magnificent vehicle will be carrying some of the most state of the art chassis technologies including Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) active roll stabilization system.

On the outside, the 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera S features 20 inch alloy wheels and the external mirrors have now been moved to the upper edge of the door. The all new Porsche Carrera S is powered by a 3.8 liter engine that delivers an impressive 400 horsepower and with the Porsche Doppelkupplung dual clutch transmission, the vehicle can accelerate from 0- 62 mph in 4.3 sec. Porsche has also given the new Carrera S with plenty of technology embedded in the dashboard including a 7 inch  touch-screen Porsche Communication Management with satellite navigation, along with a universal audio interface that also offers MP3 connectivity. Besides these fabulous features, the 2012 Porsche Carrera S will also bring with it Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV).

Porsche has stated that the 2012 Porsche Carrera S will be available for purchase in the U.K from the month of December this year, with the base model carrying a price tag of $128,458 and the standard model will be equipped with numerous niceties such as leather interior, sports seats, automatic climate control, Bi-Xenon headlights etc.
