The Surrey Hotel, located at 20 East 76th Street, between Fifth Avenue and Madison Avenue affords direct access to Madison Avenue’s upscale boutiques and restaurants, Museum Mile, iconic landmarks and Central Park. It has undergone a $60 million renovation and opened its doors in late 2009 to reveal a 1920s Beaux-Arts design, inspired by a residential townhouse, where traditional sophistication blends with modern elements.
Vanity Fair’s Beauty Director SunHee Grinnell has personally curated The Surrey hotel’s latest “Top 10 New York” collection, which is now on display at the boutique hotel on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. The top ten items are displayed in a Jimmie Martin armoire in the hotel’s lobby. The guests may visit the boutiques nearby to purchase the items or buy them directly through the concierge. The top ten items include products from Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, Dior, Jimmy Choo, Gucci, Pucci, Tom Ford and more.
The hotel in its new avatar features 190 well-appointed salons, including 30 one-bedroom suites, a penthouse and a presidential suite, ranging from 350 to 2,127 square feet in size. Spa at the Surrey offers a range of customized spa treatments. Café Boulud is a world class restaurant operated by celebrity chef, Daniel Boulud.
