Doyle Hotels (Holdings) Ltd is an Irish hospitality company that owns a small chain of hotels including the four star Kensington Hotel in London. They have expanded the 149 room hotel and added a three bedroom suite which is supposed to be the largest townhouse hotel suite in London. The €500,000 expansion has been completed and the large suite will be opened for guests later this month. The new suite has been designed to meet the needs of the wealthy visitors to the city. Arab families from the oil rich Gulf region prefer large suites to accommodate their relatively large families.
The New Suite is Expected to Attract a Variety of Guests
The new suite has come up in a neighboring property which was till now being used by the Barclays Bank. The property was owned by the hotel company and they decided to convert it into a lavish suite and integrate it with the Kensington Hotel. The hotel is hopeful that the suite designed by Denis Looby of Dublin-based Sheehan and Barry Architects will attract a variety of guests including leisure travelers, embassy dignitaries and guests from the entertainment sector. The suite has been designed as a versatile space. The three bedrooms can also be offered to guests as three independent but interconnecting suites. The flexibility makes the suite more useful for the hotel as it can be sold as one bedroom suite separately depending on the demand levels.
The Large Suite is Spread Over 180 Square Meter
Each of the bedrooms has its own ensuite bathroom. Together as a tree bedroom suite it also gets a living room, dressing area and a separate guest cloakroom with the addition of a separate dining room. It is a traditional building with four meter high ceiling and pale parquet floors. The suite also boasts of a custom-designed cocktail cabinet and a 1930s Murano chandelier. The Kensington Hotel was opened in 2009 and this has been the first major enhancement since then. The 180sq. meter suite can be your ideal location from where you can work, entertain or just relax in privacy. The suite is expected to cost about £2,700 a night.
