It will be luxury galore in London as Bulgari has now opened a hotel in the city’s most plush neighbourhood. It is a hotel that exudes luxury not only in its looks but also in the services and amenities it intends to provide to its guests.
In today’s time when everybody seems to be vying for luxury, the hospitality has undergone a paradigm shift and is focussing on establishing the most expensive hotels. Some of the hotels also come with suites that are extremely expensive and their purpose is only to overwhelm their guests with their style, sophistication and uber luxury. We had earlier reported on the top twenty suites for luxury travellers that also happen to be the most expensive in the world.
Coming back to the latest luxury hotel established in London’s most swank area, the architecture of the Bulgari hotel is not very blatant and is now gaining recognition in the city for its sheer simplicity and elegance. A variety of marbles and fine woods have been used by the architecture firm Antonio Citterio, Patricia Viel & Partners as well as Squire & Partners to design this luxurious structure. The hotel is located in the hub of London’s most prime location. With its close proximity to Hyde Park and the famous shopping store Harrods, the Bulgari hotel has everything that you could ask for. A stay in the hotel will not only be replete with luxurious amenities but you will be only a stone throw’s away from the most exciting spots in the city of London, which also happens to be the residence of the rich and the famous in the city.
To open a Bulgari hotel in London was in the offing for some time and we had also reported about the same. The Bulgari hotel in London’s Knightsbridge is the luxury brand’s third hotel after it had already established itself in Milan in 2004 and in Bali in 2006.
A Bulgari in London’s Knightsbridge
There are seven magnificent suites at the Bulgari hotel which are 200 square meters large and about 85 rooms for the guests. The rooms also boast to be the largest in London. Some of the rooms provide a breathtaking view of the Hyde Park, which also happens to be London’s lush green getaway from the bizarre world of honking and traffic.
The interiors in the room and the overall architecture of the hotel are a fine combination of the English and Italian architectural heritage. The use of fine wood, exquisite and detailed work and also the use of marble in plenty represent this harmonious blend of designs.
Luxury is visible at large in these rooms which also have a wireless internet, a 42†LCD TV along with a Nespresso Coffee maker. Marquina marble and white glass adorns the bathrooms which are huge and also have freestanding showers and baths. The rooms have been furnished by Bulgari and are adorned with a fine Italian fabric which have a delicate floral print which has been inspired by the silver Bulgari Chatelaine. Don’t confuse the mini bar to a travel trunk for the room also is reminiscent of the early days of nautical travel.
With an entrance from the Green Knightsbridge, the Bulgari hotel offers an elegant sumptuous treat to its many guests after they have walked through the huge granite lounge and the Roman silver pieces. You will first reach the II Bar. A series of steps will take you to the II Ristorante which is headed by Chef Robbie Pepin and had three private dining rooms.
It is the Spa, spread over two floors, that people can’t stop raving about. With a 25m swimming pool, ice fountains, cooling showers, relaxation room, and about 11 treatment rooms it is the perfect getaway for you if you wish to indulge in some luxury. Vicenza stone, onyx, oak, and Italian glass have been used to create the largest and the most glamorous Spas in London. The hotel also boasts of having a private cinema and a ballroom.
