B Ocean Fort Lauderdale, is the first of the B Hotels brand and its signature property. The hotel opened with great fanfare and welcomed guests with a “B our guestâ€. The name of the brand is a bit unusual and to highlight that they keep substituting be with their B in all their communications. They surely think it is very clever but gets irritating at times.
They have, no doubt created a great property at Fort Lauderdale. All 240 rooms of the hotel overlook the Atlantic Ocean to justify the name of the property. Apart from the view the amenities provided are also top class. Free WiFi access is provided to all guests. Some goodies are provided in every room to welcome the guests, and there is a patio bar called Quench with an infinity pool.
To highlight the view of the Ocean some rooms have been fitted with floor-to-ceiling windows along a curved wall. It is a great start for a brand and they would surely be having plans for the future to enlarge their base and reach. There were no indications of their marketing plans for the future but were offering 15 to 25% inaugural discount on their rack rates which can get you a room for as low as $239.
