Jaguar Land Rover is Constructing a New Engine Plant in UK
Jaguar Land Rover, the parent company is hopeful that this new series of cars can more than double the current production of the company that stands at 750,000 units a year. Jaguar’s design director Ian Callum is confident that the seductive design of the car will have a wide appeal. The prototype of the C-X17 was unveiled as it gets ready for the Frankfurt Motor Show. The new cars will be built at the company’s Solihull factory in Birmingham from 2015. Jaguar Land Rover is constructing a new engine plant at Wolverhampton which will make a new generation of frugal ‘green’ 2.0 litre, 4-cylinder petrol and diesel engines for the new cars. Jaguar is known for its unique character, breath-taking design, outstanding vehicle dynamics, performance and luxury and the new cars will maintain the same standards despite the high volumes.
