Peter Sperling’s $38,500,000 Mansion Is the Most Expensive Home in San Francisco

Sometimes the real estate market surprises with its incredible final selling price which was supposed to sell double the price. We can recollect here the penthouse on top floor of St Regis Hotel which was sold on for bargain price of $28 million, which was listed for seventy million dollars in 2008. According to sources, there is a billionaire’s row mansion which will set the record as the most expensive home in San Francisco. As there were no buyers for 3-storied French limestone town house, after several cuts in price is now on the market. The asking current price is $38,500,000.

The expensive property was bought by Apollo Group‘s Peter Sperling in the year 2004 for $32,000,000. Mr. Peter Sperling renovated the unfinished original structure. The house for some personal reasons he put it on market for $65 million. But the house on a hill with asking price $65M was on the market without any offer for years. Peter Sperling of Apollo group was told if the mansion at 2845 fails to be sold it would taken off the market. After several price chops currently it has hit the market for $38,500,000.

Located in the prime area of the city, the sophisticated townhouse in beige has a living space of 21,888 square feet. The three stories in French limestone, far from ready to move in, offers the owner  tranquility and privacy with sweeping views of  Mount Tamalpais, Marina, Golden Gate Bridge and the San Francisco Bay. It has four specially constructed fireplaces, seven car garage with automatic door system, Italian tile roofing and heating and cooling system. If home theatre for entertainment, a library and gym to relax and indoor sports like snooker and billiard are arranged in spacious areas, the townhouse would make the most expensive home for sale.
