Tony Duquette is an institution in the high-end jewelry business. This is why his business partner of 30 years, Hutton Wilkinson, celebrated his late partner’s design legacy through a recently launched coffee table book. Wilkinson himself is no stranger to luxury books. But the just released “Tony Duquette/Hutton Wilkinson Jewelry” is more than just another book on statement jewelry. It tracks some of the best jewelry created by the duo.
What You Should Expect
The book will feature 170 of Duquette and Wilkinson’s statement pieces over 144 pages. Look out for brightly colored necklaces, brooches, earrings and more. Duquette and Wilkinson’s out-of-the-box designs are sure to leave you drooling. The book also offers gemstone mythology and talks about the healing and protective powers of various precious stones.
Moreover, this is perhaps one of the only books to cover the design duo’s jewelry legacy. Wilkinson was reported to have said, “To see the pieces all at once like this is a thrill.” Jewelry enthusiasts will agree with him.
Highlights
The book features 175 color photographs of high-end creations by Duquette and Wilkinson. Among the star attractions is a tiara worn by actor and pioneering decorator Elsie de Wolfe in 1945. This was Duquette’s first commissioned piece. The book also features other prominent pieces by Duquette, such as the signature Talismans of Power collection and pearl-and-gold earrings worn by the Duchess of Windsor.
