Jennifer Aniston is primarily remembered for her role in Friends despite doing so much other work on the big screen. Her work keeps her on the West Coast but she is basically a New York girl and always wants to get back to the city. She grew up in the city and can’t stop missing it. She is supposed to have closed a deal for a luxury New York penthouse. The deal was actually signed by Nest Trust which has been created for her corgi-terrier dog Norman. Aniston’s business manager, Bruce Lagnese, is also a signatory on the mortgage documents.
The Hollywood star is understood to have purchased three separate units in a building in Manhattan’s trendy West Village neighborhood. It is not clear why she had to use her dog’s name for the transaction but as per the property records she paid $4.95 for the luxury apartment. The penthouse previously belonged to celebrity hairdresser, Sally Hershberger. The 1,200 square feet apartment is located on the 18th floor of the building. The apartment with only one bedroom and bathroom boasts of views of the Empire State Building and has a 800 square feet terrace overlooking the New York Harbor.
Sotheby’s who handled the sale was represented by Karen Heyman who refused to comment on the transaction. There is speculation that Aniston plans to combine the three units to make a large duplex apartment. Her publicist could not be contacted for comment. Aniston had recently put up her 9,0000 square foot Beverly Hills property for sale for an asking price of $42 million. She had bought the property in 2006 for $13.5 and had spent a lot of time, energy and money renovating it. She ultimately decided that it was too much for her. She had declared in February on Good Morning America that she had been looking very seriously for a home in Manhattan. Now you can expect to see her in New York more often
