World’s Most Expensive Vietnamese Soup Pho To be Auctioned for Charity

Here is heartening news for all foodies who love exotic and luxurious food. Popular Vietnamese broth, soup called AnQi Pho consisting of noodles and beef will get a luxury makeover as world’s most expensive soup on this friday and will be auctioned off for charity at the Bash Benefactor Dinner.

The bidding for the exotic soup will start from $5,000 dollars onwards and the proceeds of auction will go to the Children’s Hospitals of Los Angeles and Orange County, and UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital. The luxury Pho will be especially cooked in a foie gras broth with A5 Wagyu assorted beef, white alba truffles and hand raised bean sprouts and the noodles will be made of blue lobster meat. These exotic ingredients will make it most exquisite and expensive soup in the world. The auction is expected to be be held at the Tiato, the famous Vietnamese Café’ in Santa Monica on Friday. This café is owned by House of Ann, which also runs Crustacean in Beverly Hills.

Apparently this expensive Pho will find a permanent place in the menu of Crustacean and proceeds of the sales of same will go for the benefit of the Children’s Hospital. So if you can’t make it to this rare and unbelievable occasion of soup going under the hammer, you can still catch a glimpse or even taste it at Crustacean. Creating expensive food items and auctioning them seems to be latest elitist trend. Maybe other auction items like classic art, ancient relics etc are becoming boring and passé.
