The buzz about the iPad2 is yet to subside and bespoke versions are beginning to hit the market. The first off the block is Stuart Hughes from Liverpool, UK. They have designed and crafted the iPad2 Gold History edition that would set the record for the most expensive iPad2. The design of course uses precious metals and stones for embellishing the iPad, but the design and the final look is simply stunning.
The rear section of the iPad has been recreated in 24ct gold. The Apple logo has also been created in 24ct gold. For the embellishment by precious stones 16.5 cts of flawless diamond and 53 individually set sparkling gems have been used. All these materials of course add value to the iPad but what is invaluable is the creative design and the way it has all been put together.
And what makes this 2 kg gadget even more valuable is the front frame of this iPad which is made out of one of the oldest rocks in the world. The Ammolite sourced from Canada is over 75 million years old. Sections of T-Rex dinosaur’s thigh bone, which is again 65 million years old has been shaved into the Ammolite and then encrusted with the diamonds for the final glittering look. The limited edition creation is limited to just two. The masterpieces will be priced at $8 million.
