Dom Perignon has made its make in the world of fine alcoholic drinks. It is no wonder then that Dom Perignon was one of the most appreciated at the 2009 San Francisco International Wine Competition. The competition which was held between 19th and 21st of June was judged by a panel of judges made of the most renowned sommeliers and wine writers of the world.
The Dom Perignon OEnotheque 1995 was the ‘Best in Show’ from amongst all the wines in the competition and the Dom Perignon Vintage 2000 won the ‘Double Gold’ medal which is equivalent to the second prize in the competition. The current chef de cave for Dom Perignon, Richard Geoffroy, revealed how pleased he was upon the honour bestowed on OEnotheque 1995 and added that Vintage 2000 represented the taste that Dom Perignon stood for.
