There is a reason why Formula One is touted as perhaps one of the most expensive sports. Well as an expected consequence, the sport also ends up selling some real expensive merchandise unlike its peers in the field. And if you are an F1 fan, we are quite sure that you’d already be owning one of those amazing F1 Racing books. But there is one more that you can add to your collectibles.
This one is called the Formula One Champions Opus book and is as big as the sport can get, literally. Yes, the book’s surprisingly over-sized as it contains a whole range of photos and articles on F1 racing, thereby making it a must-have for all die-hards of the sport.

The Cadillac Escalade-based Audigier VIF1 by Christian Audigier isn’t really a new entrant in the car world but perhaps, it’s our attention that might make it seem so. Launches way back in 2008, this car symbolised Christian Audigier’s foray into the luxury car line. So, let’s make ammends to our previous oblivion to this stunning car and look at it with a fresh outllok.

Soccer players and their wifeys together with their passion for the really expensive stuff add fuel to the fire of luxury news. At first it were just the Beckhams followed by one offs like the Rooneys but not anymore as the Coles too join in the uber-rich spending club. Off late we had been hearing of Bentley’s plans of coming up with a new Arnage replacement for the next generation. And the world got it’s first teaser some time back. The new car is believed to be priced higher than the current model. Now, this might prove to be a threat to the Phantom.
Bentley’s rep was heard saying that the price of the new Arnage will ensure exclusivity for the buyers. We don’t have any doubts about the ‘unique-ness’ of the car, even the name of which is being kept so hush-hush. The grand debut is slated for August at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. The project even has a code name, ‘Kimberly’. Indsiders reveal that it even has its own V8 powertrain which sends the drive to the rear wheels via ZF’s new 8-speed automatic.

Now, rich folks not staying at a luxury hotel or motel for that matter when travelling is something rather unexpected. But Rob Millington is not giving up on those super rich folks who like to rough it out on the road itself. Enter Mo.Tel Caravan, this one is quiet something coming from a 2009 graduate of the Transport and Product Design course at Coventry University.
We appreciate the concept caravan because it is like a breath of fresh air with all its novel approach. Immensly inspired by the iconic Airstream caravans and all of the 1950 styling elements, the Mo.Tel comes complete with whitewall tires and aerodynamic wheel covers all manifested on a sleek design.

Now, Mercedes-Benz S-Class has always prided itself on combining great style with the ultimate in safety. Well, that will explaing how most car features that we have learnt to love so much first (and maybe gotten used to) appeared in the top-of-the-line Benz. And from the looks of it, Merc is not willing to let go of its ‘pioneer’ status among luxury car safety. That is whay the special ESF 2009 concept.
This one is based on he S400 Hybrid. Among it very features, you get new airbags hidden in the seatbelts, in between the seats and underneath the car. These help decelerate in case of an imminent crash. The inflatable metal beam add extra crash protection without eating out on some more space or weight.

Miniature scale models seem to be the in thing today. We have one more bit of information that might get the attention of the collector in you. The Amalgam Fine Collection is out with a stunning new handcrafted scale model of the oh-so-deliciously-famous Aston Martin DB9. The designers have taken a lot of pain to merge the rather distinctive signature styles of the car with an equally intelligent and uncompromising design theory.
Let’s not forget that the DB9 is a sports car with a high performance and great levels of comfort all, topped with a large dollop of the ‘X’ factor. To our surprise, the scale version captures it all.
