You Can Now Gift a Personal Stadium for $30 Million

The holiday season always triggers the search for new gift ideas. The search becomes more difficult when the recipient already has everything. The architects at Kansas City based Populous which was formerly known as HOK Sports have floated a concept which is absolutely new and would be ideal for a sports fan. If you are a billionaire and have enough property to spare then they can build a personal stadium for you. It is a unique concept but rather expensive as the prices start at $30 million for the facility apart from the land and infrastructure that you have to provide to support it.

Populous Can Design this Personal Stadium for You

The Playing Surface is Not Built Fully to Scale

The experience it promises is phenomenal and would be worth it if you can afford it comfortably. Ryan Sickman had explained the concept in detail in an interview given to Robb Report. The personal stadium and the playing field would not be built specifically to scale. It would be a forty to fifty yard field developed as a multipurpose ground that could go from NFL to baseball to soccer with the help from fiber-optic lighting embedded in the FieldTurf. The playing ground would be surrounded by wraparound video boards that would allow you to change from one pro sports facility to another. The LED screens would stand from 12 to 20 feet tall to provide you an enclosed environment.

The Inside Feels Real

Luxurious Seating for 100 People Would be Provided

The seating for the viewers would be developed on the lines of a luxury suite. There would be enough space to seat about one hundred people in complete luxury. There will be scoreboards and PA system to simulate the real experience. Sickman believes that the possibilities are immense. While simulating plays on the field, one could wrap the interior with feeds from college football games. One could surround oneself with every big game going on in the country while playing touch football with friends. Populous has been in the business of designing ballparks and stadiums for almost 30 years now. London’s Olympic stadium was also designed and built by them. However it is the first time they would be doing a personal stadium if you are ready to invest.
