One of the biggest international auto shows, the 2012 Motoexpo is all geared up to bring the formidable and ultra-luxurious supercar Lamborghini Reventon. Slated to be unveiled at the event which will take place at Canary Wharf, London in the early week of June this year, renowned auction house H&H Classic is presenting interested buyers with this magnificent luxury supercar that is expected to bring in $1.6 million. Unveiled at the 2007 Frankfurt Auto Show, the Reventon is widely accepted as one of the most Lamborghini supercars, while the one being offered in London is said to be the only example that will exist in the whole of U.K. The auction is part of H&H’s coveted ‘Supercars and Superclassics’ sale, where in the Reventon will prove to be of a stellar highlight. Named after the infamous fighting bull Reventon, which killed the famous Mexican bullfighter Félix Guzmán in 1943, the Lamborghini Reventon is a perfect combination eye popping design and cutting edge automobile engineering.
The Lamborghini Reventon is powered by a 6.5 liter V12 engine that produces a massive 650 bhp, which along with a state of the art 6-speed e-gear transmission propels the Reventon to a top speed of 211 mph, while achieving an acceleration of 0 to 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds. On the outside, Lamborghini Reventon boasts of an all-carbon fiber chassis and comes with a stunning mid-opaque grey paintjob. Being one of the most aerodynamically sound supercars in the market, the design parameters of the Reventon were greatly inspired from the incredibly famous F-22 Raptor stealth fighter jet. On the inside, Lamborghini designers have provided the Reventon with three TFT LCD displays that make up the instrument cluster. Furthermore, these displays are encased in a solid aluminum block that has been further reinforced with a carbon fiber casing. Apart from the usual supercar amenities, the magnificently awe-inspiring Lamborghini Reventon also comes with comfortable seats upholstered in Alcantara leather.
At the unveiling of the Reventon, Lamborghini had stated that only 20 examples this luxury supercar will ever be produced, thereby greatly enhancing exclusivity.
