The Swedish Eco Hotel is the favorite of naturalists and environmentalists. The way their rooms have been designed beautifully, they inspire their guests to come close to the nature and be more protective about it. They have another tree house, a new addition to their already amazing selection of high flying rooms. The new room on a tree is shaped like a giant flying saucer. It almost looks like a UFO has landed in the forests surrounding the Treehotel. The guests staying in the flying saucer can fantasize about being abducted by aliens for a night.
The UFO suspended on the tree is a complete luxury suite that was prefabricated with a lightweight composite material. The rate for the UFO room has been fixed at $625 per night. You can check in with your friend and hope to have a sighting of a real UFO. The room has been cast in sustainable and durable composite material. It was prefabricated offsite and transported to the Treehotel in Harads near the Lule River. It is extremely lightweight but equally strong and sustainable. The room mounted on the tree is accessible by a retractable staircase and a hatch door.
The room has a total space of 30 square meters which is sufficient for a double bed, bench bed/couches on the perimeter, a composting toilet and a dining area. Designed as a flying saucer on the outside the room has porthole windows allow the guests to see the natural surroundings. The Treehotel is known for its commitment to the environment and runs its establishment in the most sustainable way minimizing the impact on the environment. The hotel sources its electricity from hydroelectric power and uses only eco-friendly cleaning products. They only have six rooms at the moment but they are all amazing. Opened in 2010 the hotel received the Sweden’s Grand Tourism Award for 2011.
