David Beckham to Sell Five of his Luxury Cars in UK for Over £500,000

It seems the Beckhams like America. The best known British soccer star has been living in America for the past five years with his wife Victoria and their four children and doesn’t look like he has any plans of going back to UK in the immediate future as he has signed a new two-year deal for American club LA Galaxy in January. There is news that the couple are thinking about retaining and maintaining their Hertfordshire set up. He has already announced that he would be selling five of his luxury cars that are worth over £500,000.

The collection of luxury cars on sale includes two Bentleys, a Range Rover Sport, a BMW 645 and a Lamborghini Gallardo. It was reported that the former England captain might also put three Harley-Davidson motorbikes for sale. All these vehicles are  stationed at his mansion in Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire. The cars are simply gathering dust as the Beckham family rarely travels to the UK. Sources close to the family confirm that the vehicles are worth a fortune individually and the collection on the whole is simply amazing.

The cars have hardly logged much mileage but have been maintained in prize condition even in their absence. It didn’t make practical sense to ship the cars to the US and David sees little point in mothballing the cars in UK for an indefinite period. Other enthusiasts can enjoy the cars whose value far exceeds their price because of their association with the Becks. He has often auctioned his cars for a much higher price than what he paid for them. Some sources have even hinted that the Beckhams would be selling their Hertfordshire home. The mansion is popularly known as Beckingham Palace, which they bought for £2.5m in 2003.
