Christian Louboutin is famous for his red-soled stilettos. So although it was a little out-of-the-box, it was not unexpected that a bar designed by Christian Louboutin mimics his fashionable footwear. The Christian Louboutin designed cocktail bar resembles a red-soled stiletto that is lying on its side. This unique bar has been created for a good cause. The bar will be auctioned at the Grey Goose Winter Ball this year. Proceeds from the sale of the bar will be donated to the Elton John AIDS Foundation. The rich red sole aside, the shoe-shaped cocktail bar has a high shine glossy black top. The red comes from lacquered Pantone 186c, to ensure that redness is very close to that on the designer’s shoes. Additionally, there is Egyptian hieroglyph detailing adorning the rest of the shoe-like bar. It is high-fashion all right!
But the fashion designer has not limited himself to simply creating a head-turning cocktail bar. The Frenchman has also provided inputs to help create a special cocktail to go with the bar design. Named the Grey Goose Red Carpet, the Christian Louboutin cocktail features a needle and a thread and uses ingredients like Grey Goose Le Citron, French raspberries, cherries and goji berry liqueur, pepper and ginger.
The Grey Goose Winter Ball auction is scheduled for 29 October and will be held in Battersea Park in London. The buyer of the cocktail bar will also get an additional treat – a cocktail party organized at their home, on a date of their choice, with guests being served Grey Goose cocktails from the Christian Louboutin bar. There is a second treat in store. The buyer also gets a pair of the Christian Louboutin shoes from the current season.
