Adafruit Develops iNecklace with a Pulsating Pendant

How about wearing the electronics technology and making it elegant and fun. It is being called the iNecklace and the best part is that it is made from open source technology and you are free to replicate it The pendant on the chain is made out of CNC machined aluminum with an LED inside. It is programmed to pulsate for up to 72 hours at a time. A tiny little circuit board has been incorporated in the pendant to make it work and pulsate as per the program installed.

This is a totally new kind of product developed by Adafruit which could be called bluetooth jewelry. It goes to their credit that they have made it fun to wear and has a classy look at the same time. It makes a perfect geek gift. If you want to make it yourself you can visit Adafruit and can access all the files that is required to replicate the open source jewelry. Since it is open source all of it is downloadable for free. If you make it yourself you can even design your own pendant. The pendant made by Adafruit is CNC machined from the finest 6 series aluminum. It is both beautiful and durable.

The pulsating pendant comes strung on a 18″ long sterling silver 1.6mm diamond-cut curb chain. The material is processed and treated to give it a long resplendent life.
