The watchmakers have the tendency to add rather mount a tourbillon to anything they make. They had done it with the TF Est. 1968 Tourbillon cufflinks and now they have come up with equally classy and matching TF Est. 1968 Tourbillon Pen. The U.S. distributors of luxury watch brands including Armin Strom, Hautlence, Linde Werdelin and Ladoire will be bringing the luxury pen to the US market soon. The unique pens will become available in different finishes and variations. The classy pens will be positioned as a compliment to the earlier Tourbillon cufflinks and will make a perfect matching gift.
The tourbillon on this pen is mounted at a 45° angle on the top of the pen, which can be seen as you pocket your pen. In fact the tourbillon will be visible when it is clipped to your pocket. Some pens sport steel with palladium plating for the shimmering look, while come also feature a genuine carbon fiber top. There is a special pack made for the serious collectors which features seven pens. If you had missed on the tourbillon cufflinks you could go for the pen-cufflinks set.
All the pens in the collection come with a two year guarantee. The pens will become available at about forty retailers countrywide. The choice of finishes which would be available are stainless steel with palladium, plated rose gold, plated yellow gold and stainless steel black resin. All the models are priced at $750. However, if you go for a carbon top in any of the pens, the price will go up marginally to $790. The cufflinks were priced between $390 and $440 per pair in PVD and plated finishes with carbon fiber backing, or $1950 if set with diamonds. The collector’s set is priced at $5370.
