HM4 Only Watch is a Masterpiece Created by MB&F

MB&F, the Swiss watchmaker have created a unique luxury timepiece which has been developed based on the children’s dream of being able to fly. MB&F is a creative label backed by a team of talented horological artisans, artists and professionals. Almost as an annual ritual the team design and craft each year a radical and original horological masterpiece. The special creation this year is the HM4 Only Watch. The exclusive and unique creation features a miniature 18 karat gold flying panda bear piloting a space-age HM4 jet.

MB&F believes in nurturing talent and creating a team where each individual has a specific role. The team thrives on the passion and creativity of each individual and leverages it to come up with creations that surprise everyone. Their aim is to create incredible horological machines. HM4 Only Watch is also an incredible horological machine. It has been created in collaboration with Chinese artist, Huang Hankang. The watch will be unveiled at a charity event in Monaco in September. It is a unique collaboration where a painting was transformed into a horological expression.

Huang Hankang say he looks upon the creation of MB&F as a work of art and not watch making. They are able to come up with such masterpieces because they let their imagination run free like an artist. He said that he didn’t even know it was possible until he saw their work and their approach to watch making. Huang initially painted a panda bear flying on top of an HM4 and then the team at MB&F got down to crafting the incredible watch that brought the painting to life. The watch features grade 5 titanium and sapphire case, a black hand-stitched calfskin strap with a titanium/white gold custom-designed deployment buckle. The watch will be auctioned on September 22, in Monaco and the proceeds will go for research into duchenne muscular dystrophy.
