Estate With Levi Strauss Link Up For Sale

How would you like to buy Levi Strauss’ house? As it turns out, a historic Silicon Valley estate under the ownership of descendants of the legendary Levi Strauss is going up for sale. The property, named Pine Brook, is being listed at a price of $59.5 million.

Pine Brooks is spread over 12 acres in the Atherton community – quite a sought-after area in the region. The Strauss family treated this luxury real estate in the countryside as a summer home and farm over the last seven decades.

The main residence stands atop 11,000 square feet. The Tudor-style building is shaded by old trees. It is built such that it gets plenty of air and natural light. It is perfect for making the most of the beautiful weather in this part of the country.

On the Pine Brooks estate, you will also come across a guest house with an area of 6,500 square feet. Significantly, this building has been designed by Gardner Daily. And just because it is a guest house, why should it be bereft of all the luxuries of the owner’s residence? Perhaps that is the reason why this property also houses a swimming pool, a pool house with a bar and a tennis court.

However, apart from being a wonderful example of luxury real estate that was owned by the Levi Strauss family, Pine Brooks has a single major factor going for it: location! Zackary Wright, Senior Vice President of Christie’s International Real Estate, admitted that Pine Brooks is “a rare offering indeed”, mainly because it occupies one of the largest plots in Atherton.
