Remember Scrooge McDuck from Ducktales swimming in his pool of gold coins? Well now you will get to swim in a pool of gold as well. How so? Well we have all seen how everything these days is getting blinged up. Be it the cellphones, laptops, anything and everything has been given the Midas touch lately. So it was only time that somebody thought of gold plating a pool, and that is exactly what the people at the newly opened St. Regis Lhasa Resort in Tibet have done.
Their swimming pool has been lined with thousands of gold plated tiles. Opening from April 1, guests will be able to take a dip in the shimmering pool. One can see all kinds of pools these days, be it plunge pools, infinity pools, etc etc. But this swimming pool has outdone the rest.
I am not sure if this pool of gold really does anything different to soothe your senses, maybe giving you an exhilaration of having so much gold around. Personally I find all this too be too much of a show off, but I have a feeling that there will be many people who will be more than interested to get a dip in this pool. P. Diddy is the first name that comes to mind.
