The scarf never seems to go out of fashion. Whatever the season, whatever the latest trend may be, the scarf continues to rule not just the fashion runways, but also the streets. It is amazing how a single piece of cloth can dress up the dullest of looks and tone down a flashy dress. And now, scarf lovers have a new designer destination to head to as Jean-Jacques Rogers launches his own line.
Rogers has been associated with luxury fashion houses Givenchy and Lanvin in the past. Now, the accessories and scarf designer is breaking out on his own. Rogers will be selling his new line from his own workshop located at St. Germain des Pres in the fashion capital of Paris.
Rogers is part English and part French, and this shows up in his work. His scarves are a delight to wear. Drape a Jean-Jacques Rogers scarf over your shoulders and you will have a hint of the kind of materials that have gone into its making. The designer is known for using the finest of fabrics. His line includes scarves made entirely of silk or cashmere. Also on offer are wool and Lycra mixes. Ultra-softness is one of the USPs of Rogers’ designs.
One great thing is that Rogers’ scarves come in larger sizes, to ensure that you can drape it in a variety of ways, even throwing it on like a shawl if you so wish. Rogers’ 2011 line has urban and ethnic inspirations and is unisex. His scarves are also available at Premiere Class trade shows in Paris and in the bon Marche.
