Givenchy Airs Film on the Spring/Summer 2011 Collection on Barneys.com

Some people are yet to get over the celebrations on the New Year Eve and we are barely into the second week of the new year but the ever active fashion world is back in action. There is good news for the fans of Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy. They will now get what they have been waiting for eagerly. Givenchy’s ready to wear range for women has been finally been made available on Barneys.com.

To commemorate the online availability and to complement it the label decided to showcase it online through a short film based on the spring/summer 2011 collection. They wanted the best for total impact. The label decoded to tap the London based director and Showstudio.com alumna Ruth Hogben to create the film for them. Ruth has been in the news recently for her films made for Gareth Pugh and Celine. She has a whole list of work behind her that places her amongst the best in the business.

Small snippets of the film were released to generate curiosity about the film and the collection. The complete film has just been aired on Barneys.com. The Italian model Mariacarla Boscono, styled by Panos Yiapanis looks riveting in the film. The leopard prints had to compete with her to get the attention of the viewers and share the spotlight.
