Lanvin for H&M has become a sensation on eBay. The ‘buy it now’ options on the site for some of the Lanvin for H&M dresses are going beyond three times the tagged prices at their store. You cannot be blamed for thinking that if you go to the store you could pick up a dress yourself for a reasonable price. The only problem is that too many people are thinking the same thing and the scene at their store is unmanageable, to say the least, in spite of the best efforts of the staff.
Their store in Washington opens at 8 am. Even if you go by 6 am you could find almost 100 other people waiting. It could make you hopeful that you stand a good chance of getting a dress of your choice. The efforts made by the staff of the store to regulate the crowd to give them a fair chance of buying a dress are impressive.
Things seem to be under control only till the store opens. It is a free for all once the store opens. All the groups made through colored bands and limits on purchase per person are ignored. If you still manage a dress, you are lucky.
