A. Testoni Creates the Most Expensive Men’s Shoes in the Moro Monk Strap Model

It seems the ‘most expensive’ trend has caught on in the field of men’s fashion as well. A. Testoni, the Italian luxury leather goods label announced the creation of the world’s most expensive pair of men’s dress shoes at an astonishing price of $38,000 per pair. The Italian company was founded in 1929 in Bologna by Amedeo Testoni and has been known for its craftsmanship and high end leather products.

The shoes in question, the Moro monk-strap model, have been painstakingly handcrafted in the world’s finest exotic alligator skin, applying the techniques of Norvegese, or Norwegian construction, for durability and added water resistance. Apart from the craftsmanship the best materials have been used in the construction of the most expensive shoes. Custom made linen twine, glove soft goatskin and ultimately a rich gold and diamond buckle.

Testoni has developed a process of its own that makes the shoe as light as a feather but at the same time guarantees protection from hot, cold and humid weather. The process requires some 200 manual operations to complete and has been patented by Testoni. Louis Vuitton had offered the $10,000 alligator wingtips last year but the Testonis will establish itself as the best the world has to offer.
