Heritage Titanium Chronograph Series Launched by Porsche Design

Porsche Design Timepieces is gearing up to spread its business world wide more aggressively. They are streamlining and reinforcing their distribution particularly in the Far East. To kick start the process Porsche Design Timepieces and Cortina Watch – with a little help from distributor Pacific Time – threw a little soirée at the Tanjong Beach Club in Singapore in honor of the brand’s 2010 collection of watches. In a symbolic gesture Patrick Schwarz delivered the first Porsche Design P’6780 Diver in Asia to Cortina Watch Regional General Manager Jeremy Lim.

All the Cortina Watch Boutiques in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia will stock exclusively the Porsche Design watches. The latest model of Porsche Design P 6530, which is part of a new series called the Heritage Titanium Chronograph will also be now available at the Cortina boutiques. The P6780 Diver has developed on the basic design of the legendary Ocean 2000 model. It has an interesting stainless steel case that pivots out of a titanium housing to allow the setting of time.

When set back into its housing, it cannot be inadvertently damaged and does not require a screwed down crown. P 6530 is an entirely new development and is the harbinger of things to come for Porsche Design. It is the first design of the new series titled Heritage which celebrates the brand’s icons. It is the first watch to use titanium for its case design.
