Bang & Olufsen Beosound 24ct Gold & Diamond Edition for $1.85 Million

Do you think gold and diamond are the ultimate in luxury? Can everything be made more luxurious and more valuable by making it in gold or by adding diamonds to it? Apparently the answer is yes. Along with the Bang & Olufsen Serenata Diamond Edition, Stuart Hughes has also taken the wraps off the Bang & Olufsen Beosound 24ct Gold & Diamond Edition.

There is no point talking about the technical features or the quality of the sound produced by the music center. It has been created as the most expensive music centre in the world. It took seven months to complete with the help of most luxurious materials. The Beosound’s whole body, including the speakers, has been reformed using 32 kilograms of solid 24ct gold. As if that was not enough, the outer screen guard area has been embellished by 70 brilliant round cut 0.75 flawless diamonds which are in turn surrounded by gemstones like Aventurine and Topaz to form a classical design.

It is not very difficult to guess that the model has not been developed for the mass market but to satisfy the tastes of an exclusive few. Only five units will be offered for sale, with each costing a whopping £1.2 million (approx. US $1.85 million).
