One of the biggest names in luxury and sports cars, Mercedes Benz, has now officially launched the all new Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 racing version and has stated that, this incredible four wheeler is up for sale for interested racing teams. Affectionately called, the Gullwing, this all new track car is available with a price tag of $517,294 and as the company is currently well set on time for the delivery schedule that has to be met before the opening of the motor sport season starting in February 2011.
The all new Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 Gullwing model has been designed developed in accordance with the GT3 rules set by the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) and is termed as the perfect vehicle for the sprint and endurance races. The Gullwing is powered by a FIA compliant AMG 6.3-litre V8 front-mid engine with dry sump lubrication, that has been developed on the basis of the ‘Balance of Performance’ principle. The SLS AMG GT3 will feature a six speed racing transmission with steering wheel shift paddles, along with a multi-disc locking differential and traction control.
