The Chinese luxury market is booming thanks to the burgeoning class of the rich in the country. Hence, we have seen many luxury brands opening their stores in the country. Prada is the next in line, which is opening two stores in Shanghai; one in the Peninsula Hotel and the other one in the Peninsula Mall. This is just an addition to the already twelve sales points in China.
The first boutique will span over 334 square metres and will be one just one floor. The other store will be on two floors, covering a total area of 1200 square metres. The mall which will house this store, has several other big brands within the building. Both the boutiques are designed by architect par excellence Roberto Baciocchi. The shops will have collection for both men and women and will include things like of ready-to-wear, bags, footwear and accessories.
The stores are themselves as beautiful as the Prada designs. Walls are upholstered with pale green wallpaper and the floors are covered with beige carpets. The store in the Peninsula mall has a more metallic look. Both of them bring out the class of this brand.
