Rare Vintage 1963 Ferrari 250 GTO Fetches $25 Million To $30 Million In Exclusive Sale

Canadian auction house, RM Auctions has reportedly sold a vintage 1963 Ferrari 250 GTO via a private sale for an estimated price between $25 million to $30 million. A similar Ferrari 250 GTO was sold for $25 million in the year 2008 to a British national via auction.

The 1963 Ferrari 250 GTO is widely considered to be one of the most sought after vintage cars in world and is also known to be a world class racer with numerous world championships under its hood. The Ferrari corporation had manufactured only 36 Ferrari 250 GTOs and only a handful of them were adorned with Series II GTO bodywork. The Ferrari 250 GTO that got auctioned off from RM Auctions carries the chassis number 4675 GT and this particular beauty was released from the Ferrari factory in April 1963 and was coated with the Rosso Cina color.

This incredible racing vehicle carried with itself a tremendous reputation for a being an incredible racing car and was driven by some of the most famous names in the racing circuit including Guido Fossati, Jean Guichet, Oddone Sigala, Vincenzo Nember and Luigi Taramazzo.
