One of the richest women in the world Patricia Kluge is reportedly selling off some of the most expensive items from the her personal collection. Sotheby, which is a world renowned auction house has been selected as the institution tasked with the auction of these items. Ms. Kluge, who came into the spotlight after her divorce from the billionaire media tycoon John Kluge, had apparently became immensely rich after the divorce proceedings and is also known as one of the most famous socialites.
Among the items for the auction are a pair of platinum and diamond pendant-ear clips set that are engraved with pear-shaped diamonds of 64 carats each and are worth $600,000 and $800,000. Sotheby is said to auction more than 200 pieces of jewelry items from Ms. Kluge’s collection. The lady now owns her very own winery, called Kluge Estate Winery and Vineyard and has established herself as a respectable entrepreneur in the wine industry. Furthermore, the auction will also include items from Ms. Kluge’s 45-room estate in Virginia, which is known as the famous Albermarle House. These contents will be auctioned off by Sotheby in the month of June this year.
The Albermarle House which as appraised in the year 2009 for $100 million will also be available for sale at a heavily reduced price of $48 million and the auction is said to include other items of interest such as, Chinese paintings, rare books, sporting guns, jewelry, lighting, decorative objects and gowns.
