2011 Audi A8 Sizzles During Debut

Auto enthusiasts were more than just disappointed when it was revealed, almost at the last minute, that the audi A8 would not be part of the show as had been earlier decided. All those who had been so severely disappointed would now be glad that the project wasn’t scrapped altogether; the Audi A8 made a much publicised debut at Miami. News has it that the 2011 A8 would be on show at the LA Auto Show in some time.

The Audi a8 certainly debuted in style, with the show being hosted by Lucy Liu and attended by other pretty ladies including Christina Ricci. Even so, nobody could take the attention away from Audi’s latest luxury sedan. The Audi A8 is powered by a 4.2 litre FSI V8 motor with 372hp and the car also promises to be quite eco-friendly with a 15 percent reduction in fuel consumption. The car also has the latest version of Quattro with torque vectoring, providing it with the ultimate in performance.

The production of the Audi A8 is set to begin in the third quarter of 2010 so car afficionados only have a year or so to wait to get their hands on this one. Mind you, though, the Audi A8 won’t come cheap.
